Face | neck | eye thread lifts

Minimally-invasive option to lift sagging skin, achieve that V-shaped face and define facial contours. Apart from lifting, there is improvement in skin quality due to the collagen-stimulating effect of the absorbable sutures used in this procedure.

How it works

Mono (collagen) threads/20-point thread lift

Small, fine threads that are usually inserted in a mesh-like pattern under the skin to provide scaffolding and support. Over the next 2-3 months, skin gets firmer, tighter and hence more lifted as a result of collagen production. Can be inserted almost anywhere on the face/neck/body parts where skin tightening is desired and more than 20 threads can also be used if keen to treat larger areas or more areas.

Cog threads

Long, barbed threads that are inserted more deeply as compared to mono threads. Typically, 2-4 threads are used on each side of the face. The threads are thicker and the cogs/barbs on them catch on to tissue to provide a mechanical lift. Collagen is also produced over the next few months.

Eye threads

Short, very fine threads that are inserted under peri-orbital skin to stimulate collagen and volumise the typically thin skin in that area. Tightens upper eyelid skin, brightens and firms lower eyelid skin and reduces fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. Good complement to under eye fillers.

Important information

  • The thread materials affect how long the results last. For instance, PDO threads last 6 to 12 months and PCL threads about 2 years. They are naturally dissolved by our bodies

  • Downtime: Mild swelling, possibly bruising, depending on individual. Best to avoid alcohol and exercise at least 24 hours post-procedure.

  • Can be completed in under 30 minutes

  • Minimal pain with prior application of numbing cream +/- local anesthesia
